Around 100 girls were given the chance to give golf a go with Ladies European Tour stars Amy Boulden and Lydia Hall in North and South Wales. The Girls Clinics were held at North Wales golf club and Pyle and Kenfig, with just under 50 girls attending each of the sessions, from more than 30 different clubs, with skills challenges, lessons and the chance to watch such top professionals in action close up.
In North Wales there were 45 girls from 11 different clubs, with four skills challenge stations, a clinic and questions and answer session with Boulden, a lesson with Boulden and golf professional Louise Davies, and nail-painting.
There were 44 girls from 20 different clubs at Pyle and Kenfig, with a warm-up and question and answer session with Hall, driving, pitching, chipping and putting lessons with Hall, club professionals Joe Vickery, Dylan Williams and Huw Williams, along with Wales international Georgia Lewis.
In a Girls v Boys challenge at the end, Hall and Lewis came out victorious, with girls attending the clinic encouraged to caddy, ask questions, tend flags and hit shots out on the course.
