- Entries Close: Wednesday 21st April
- Practice Day: 11th September
Entries Open 4th January
Wales will be divided into four regions on a geographical basis. The regions will be decided upon when all entries are received with the aim being to have as near as possible the same numbers in each quarter.
PRELIMINARY ROUNDS IN 2021 WILL BE PLAYED EITHER HOME OR AWAY DUE TO THE ONGOING CORONAVIRUS SITUATION
Clubs are required to notify their opponents if any of their players are also members of the club where the proposed match is to be played and, if this is the case, then it can be grounds for refusal to play the match at that venue. Should this occur the Championship Manager, of Wales Golf, must be informed immediately.
FINAL
Clubs who reach the final 8 of the Challenge (ie last two in each region) will go into an open draw. The resultant quarter final matches will be played on courses selected by Wales Golf.
It is hoped that the clubs who reach the semi‑final and the final round will, as far as possible, select the same players who enabled them to qualify for such round. However team composition and/or team order may be changed from that used earlier in the event and between the semi-finals and final (or 3rd/4th place playoff) held at Mold Golf Club
All teams reaching the last four in each region will be invited to compete in a mixed foursomes stableford Plate Event on the Finals Day.
