GUW/ GDW, as part of the BSS scheme, will be running a 1 day workshop open to all clubs based on key support needs which have been identified through the club survey and feedback from existing BSS clubs.
Minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 people per club, places are limited and will be offered on a first come first served basis.
The workshop will be delivered by Amanda Bennett the GUW/ GDW Business Support Scheme Governance Consultant.
Who is the workshop for?
The workshop has been designed for clubs that have started or are planning to start developing a long-term strategic plan. The individuals from each club should be part of the management committee and/or senior staff members who may be involved in the planning and decision making processes at the club.

Cost – £10 per person
The workshop will be interactive and participants will be asked on the day to develop a mission statement along with a set of strategic goals relevant for their club.
At the end of the workshop the club should go away with a draft strategic plan which can be further developed within their own club. The workshop will also address the ways in which management committees can engage club members in the development process, generating whole club support and encouraging involvement.
