C & P County Girls v Dyfed County Boys’ match, played at Carmarthen Golf Club, on Sunday 22nd October.
Contrasting weather conditions of squally showers, blustery winds and bright sunshine surrounded the 31 juniors, who took part in this first, official event. 15 girls played from the following clubs – Glyn Abbey, Tycroes / Glynhir, Carmarthen, Tenby, Milford Haven, Newport Links and Cardigan, as well as 16 boys from the above clubs, including Ashburnham, Cilgwyn and Rosemarket clubs too. Unfortunately, the girls didn’t win on this occasion, but there’s always next year! Great hospitality was provided by Carmarthen Golf Club, the host club, for which we were most grateful. Thanks to all players, parents and helpers, as well.
