Aberdovey is without doubt a living testament to the unique characteristics of links golf. Playing golf here is much more than just a social and sporting activity. It can be considered a journey where you can lose yourself in the beauty of the game nurtured within the beauty of the landscape. Even if you are playing poorly – you will still be uplifted and energised by the golf experience.

The coastal setting with its ever changing tides and winds ensures that conditions alter on a frequent basis. Club selection is therefore all the more important. You will need every club in the bag – and probably more than one way to play them. Each of four par-3s all face a different direction. You first encounter one of the three par-5s well into the round at the 7th whilst the returning holes enjoy a tempting prospect of two in three holes at the 13th and 15th. There are 9 par-4s that can play over 400 yards but the timely interventions of the short 8th and 16th can set one’s score. But it’s best not to think of Aberdovey as one big challenge but 71 different adventures which you will undoubtedly want to take again.

Situated high above the shores of Cardigan Bay on the Teifi Estuary, Cardigan Golf Club is a special place to play golf. As a members owned club, we pride ourselves on being open to all, offering quality affordable golf in a friendly welcoming atmosphere.

The large undulating greens and surrounding bunkers require concentration on approach and finesse with the putter.

The course is open all year, and whilst the members will tell you it is at its best in the spring and autumn, it is a particularly good winter course, never requiring temporary tees or greens.

Cwmrhydneuadd Golf Club was designed by the owner Gerwyn Davies and was first opened in 1992. The Club House was added shortly afterwards.

Although the course is Pay and Play, there is a strong ever growing membership. The club is affiliated to, and has strong involvement with both the Welsh Golfing Union and Dyfed Golfing Union, which opens up opportunities for the more competitive player who as a club member could find themselves with a pretty full fixture list.

Our eighteen hole golf course measures just under 6,100 yards and plays to a par 71. No hole is the same and every hole offers its own unique challenges. In 1905 a group of local businessmen had the foresight to establish an 18-hole golf course on land overlooking the Victorian spa town of Llandrindod Wells to service the needs of the thousands of visitors that flocked to the town to “take the waters”.

The course at Llandrindod Wells is of the highest possible pedigree. It was designed by six times Open Champion Harry Vardon, and altered some years later by five times champion James Braid, to produce, essentially, the superb course of 18 holes, almost 5800 yards in length (par 69), that you see today.

Machynlleth Golf Club is a much loved nine hole heathland golf course which is situated on the outskirts of Machynlleth, an historic market town in Powys, Mid Wales. Surrounded by wonderful mountain scenery, there are splendid views from every part of the golf course.

Monmouth Golf Club was formed on the 25th June 1896 at a meeting held in the Kings Head Hotel. There was another golf club in Monmouth called the Vauxhall Golf Club which had been formed in 1892 by members of the army garrison stationed in the town and the majority of its members were army personnel.

The Monmouthshire is a course that suits all levels of golfer and indeed all ages. The course is set against the beautiful scenery of the Usk valley. It is surrounded by the Blorenge, Sugar Loaf and Skirrid Mountains. A  superb example of a mature parkland course which, from the back tees can be as tough as it is beautiful, and it is said to be the oldest 18 hole golf course in the County of Monmouthshire.

Built in 1270 by Gilbert de Clare, Earl of Gloucester and Lord of Glamorgan, the remains of what once was Morlais Castle, runs along the right hand side of the third fairway and overlooks the border between Brecon and Glamorgan. A challenging moorland golf course set in the surroundings of the foothills of the Brecon Beacons with some magnificent scenic views. Situated some 24 miles north of Cardiff. Morlais Castle Golf Club is enjoyable for both low and high handicapped golfers.

Spectacular views across the Brecon Beacons National Park, the course is one of two halves. The first nine holes are built around the old quarry while the back nine are set on rolling moorland. A modern clubhouse and indoor practice area coupled with the warmest of welcomes completes the Morlais experience.
One hundred years has seen many changes at Morlais Castle Golf Club. We now have a course and clubhouse of which we can be proud and the facilities that they offer to members and guests. Morlais Castle Golf Club has always held a reputation for being friendly to all who seeks its company both on the course and in the clubhouse.

Golf was originally played at the current site of Old Padeswood Golf Club over 100 years ago. The current club was established in 1977 and increased to 18 holes in 1985. The Club became a members club in April 2016, and is now “run by the members, for the members”.

The course has a Par of 72 (73 for the Ladies), being over 6,600 yards off the championship tees. The course is a fair challenge for golfers of all abilities.
