Greenkeeper training

The GTC is the independent organisation representing British Golf Club Employers and Greenkeepers, and has been in existence for over 20-years. The Headquarters is based at Easingwold, in North Yorkshire and its work is overseen by a Board of Directors and Advisory Groups (when necessary).  There is a full time employee, who carries out the work:-  Ms Fiona Lyttle, Learning & Development Executive (GTC).

The Board of Directors consists of one representative from the following, England Golf, Scottish Golf, Wales Golf and the British and International Golf Greenkeepers Association (BIGGA), and an Independent Chairman, Mr Alistair Booth.

The GTC is dedicated to its objectives of improving and promoting the education and training of all greenkeepers working in partnership with Golf Club Employers and with Training Providers. Government approved qualifications including an apprenticeship scheme are available through a network of GTC – BIGGA Approved Training Providers.
