WHS™ cross border scoring in GB&I

Golfers using the Wales Golf App can now add general play scores from any affiliated golf course in England, Ireland and Scotland – in addition to courses in Wales – thanks to new interoperability software.

The extension within the app allows general play scores from courses in any of the four home nations to count towards a player’s Handicap Index®.

Not only does the new function allow players to submit scores in GB&I to their handicap record, but also permits their card to be attested by any member of an affiliated club or Flexi Club subscriber within the four countries.

Wales Golf, working alongside England Golf, Golf Ireland and Scottish Golf have collaborated with technology platform provider DotGolf to develop this exciting enhancement which is now available to all users of the Wales Golf App.

Hannah McAllister Wales Golf CEO said:

“We are delighted to be able to bring cross-border scoring to the Wales Golf app, meaning Welsh golf club members and Flexi Club members will be able to submit scores from their rounds within Great Britain and Ireland.

“Wales Golf hope many more members will download the app and enjoy all of the convenience and help we can now deliver.

“We are really pleased with the functionality of the Wales Golf app. Thanks to the collaboration with our fellow Home Union golf governing bodies and our technology platform provider DotGolf helping develop this exciting advancement.”

Golfers can register or access their ‘My Wales Golf’ account at any time on desktop using the My Account login page registered, golfers can download the Wales Golf app by either searching “Wales Golf’” on Apple and Android devices.
