The Wales Golf youth panel was created in 2015 and contains young people from all across the country. The youth panels main purpose is to provide a voice for young golfers in Wales as well as developing skills that will help them with a future career.

Youth panel members are provided with opportunities such as volunteering at major events, taking part in bespoke training such as safeguarding and media training as well as providing their opinion on current scheme’s and initiatives run by Wales Golf.

Some of the highlights of the current Wales Golf youth panel include volunteering and delivering the skills challenge at the PING Junior Tour, taking part in media training with the Wales Golf press officer, speaking at the Wales Golf national awards and being part of the European Tour Camera Crew at the British Senior Open at Royal Porthcawl.

4 of our youth panel members were selected for National Leadership Academy Wales which is delivered by Sport Wales and the Youth Sport Trust. This will help them develop key skills such as leadership, public speaking and communication skills that will prepare them for a career of their choice.

Meet the panel below and find out more about what they have gained from being part of the youth panel.
