The Annual Fun Rabbits’ Jamboree organised this year by Denbighshire and Flintshire was held at Wrexham Golf Club on Saturday 14th May. The counties of  Denbighshire and Flintshire, Shropshire and Cheshire each chose a team of eight girls who did not have handicaps and were under the age of 13 years. The girls were divided into teams of three, one from each county and their first task was to decide upon names for their teams. The Chocolate Chippers and The Golfing Teers were two examples.

The girls then took part in a variety of competitions, a nine hole par 3 course, putting, chipping and also decorating a golf ball. The aim of the Annual Jamboree is to provide young girls with the experience of playing against each other, making new golfing friends and to build their confidence. But the main aim for the day was to have fun!
The Best Gross winner was Molly from Cheshire and the Best Putter was Braeagh from Shropshire. Denbighshire and Flintshire County Captain Kim Harcombe thanked Wrexham Golf Club for hosting the event and the County Girls’ Managers, Organisers, Parents and all the Team Leaders for their hard work.
